Prep For Your Pup
Are you welcoming a doggy addition to your family? Before your new pup comes home, let’s set everyone up for success! Whether it’s an 8-week-old puppy or a fearful foster rescue, PosiPup can prepare you for everything that comes with adding a dog to the family. In these sessions, it will be wonderful to have the whole household involved – kids included!

Time Commitment: 1.5 Hours
We will go over:
- The force-free positive reinforcement training method and why not to use aversive techniques or training tools on your pup
- Give you the in-and-outs of marker/clicker training and high-incentive rewards
- The importance of prevention management & enrichment to create a better learning environment for your pup
- Walking and training equipment
- Dog body language and early warning signs
We’ll provide you with plenty of training and behavior materials for easy reference while you start this new relationship based on trust and compassion.
And for clients with new puppies, we’ll cover:
- Developmental stages
- Vaccine schedules
- House/potty training
- Prevention management through crate training and the use of x-pens and baby gates
We’ll show you where the best place to set-up your puppy play area in the house so that they can be a part of the family and you can keep a watchful eye on them. - Orientation video for Puppy Start Right Preschool
